Anyone can make an appointment with or without a referral

Suzanne aims to keep her fees below the rates recommended by the Australian Psychological Society (APS), currently set at $330 per hour. The following fees are current as of November 2025.

Fee Schedule

2025-26

    • Fee: $300

    • Medicare rebate (with valid mental health care plan): $137.05

    • Out-of-pocket cost: $162.95

    • Fee: $290

    • Medicare rebate (with valid mental health care plan): $145.25

    • Out-of-pocket cost: $144.75

    • Fee: $270 (inclusive GST)

    • Medicare rebate not available)

    • Letters and reports attract a fee commensurate with the APS Recommended Fees (currently set at $330+GST per hour, pro-rata).

    • Phone calls which occur frequently, or are more than 10 minutes long will also attract the APS recommended fee, pro-rata.

    • There is no charge for standard Medicare reports which are considered a normal component of treatment under a valid referral (mental health care plan, or chronic disease management plan).

    • Fees: To be announced

    • Executive functioning (ADHD)

    • Cognitive Assessment

    • Attainment Assessment (for assessment of Specific learning difficulties)

    • Full Psychoeducational Assessment (cognitive function, learning ability, executive function)

Rebates and Funding

    • You may be eligible for a Medicare Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) for psychological therapy following a GP review. This can subsidise the cost of up to 10 psychological therapy sessions per calendar year, with a rebate of $145.25 per session.

    • With a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan you will receive a rebate of $72.65 for a maximum of 5 sessions per calendar year. Please ask your GP if you are eligible.

    • Suzanne does not accept Eating Disorder Plans.

    • If you have private health cover, you may be eligible to claim rebates on psychological services.

    • Please speak directly with your fund to determine your level of cover.

    • You cannot use your private health insurance if you are already accessing Medicare rebates for your session.

    • Suzanne Verhaar Clinical Psychology is not a Bulk Billing clinic. 

    • ​Third Party Claims through NDIS are not able to be processed. We are happy to issue you with an invoice to allow you to claim directly.

    • Please note: Suzanne does not provide Work Cover reports or participate in Work Cover-related processes.

Cancellation Policy

To ensure fairness and availability for all clients, we kindly ask that cancellations be made at least 1 full business day advance. Appointments cancelled with less notice may incur the full session fee, as this time has been reserved exclusively for you. We appreciate your understanding and commitment to respectful scheduling.

  • Late cancellations (less than one business day’s notice): 75% of the full fee ($217.50)

  • Non-attendance without notice: Full fee applies ($290)

Cancellation fees are not eligible for Medicare or private health rebates and must be paid prior to future appointments. If a client is unwell, a telehealth session can be arranged.
